Daniele Meucci was born in Pisa and discovered athletics at the age of 17, excelling in a school cross-country race in Follonica. This early success led him to embark on a career under the guidance of coach Luigi Principato. In December 2006, Meucci won individual bronze in the under-23 race at the European Cross Country Championships, contributing to the Italian team’s second-place finish.
